The MUSP Spelling Programme and the Dual Code Method
Guest presentation at next meeting of the North East Patoss Group
Saturday 22nd May 2010
10 am - 12:30 pm
The Durham Centre for Education
Jenny Lee is the guest presenter at the next meeting of the North East professional association of teachers of students with specific learning difficulties (Patoss) group.
Jenny is well known through her work with Dyslexia Action, her publications and her presentations both nationally and around the North East region.
Jenny has very kindly agreed to share MUSP, a spelling programme suitable for both adults and children. Students never forget their priority words because, after being taught how to use MUSP effectively, they commit the spelling to both their mind's eye and their mind's ear.
She will also demonstrate the Dual Code Method, a technique to clearly remember what you have read.
These practical techniques should form an indispensible part of a teacher's repertoire.
